Adriano could leave Barcelona, admits agent

The Brazilian's representative has admitted that his client will not stay at Camp Nou to be third-choice left-back
Adriano's Barcelona career could be coming to a close due to a lack of first-team opportunities, according to his agent.

The 30-year-old left-back made just 16 league appearances last season, with only 10 of them starts, and struggled to challenge Jordi Alba for a place in the starting XI.

Paulo Affonso Neves, Adriano's representative, told Spanish radio network Cadena Ser that his client was therefore likely to seek a transfer this summer.

"He didn't play much and he has worked a lot," the agent explained. "He is a great professional and a good person.

"I believe that if Adriano has to remain as the third-choice option, it would be better if we look for a way out for him. We aren't in a rush."

The former Sevilla defender, whose contract runs until 2017, will meet with the club hierarchy following Barcelona’s presidential election on July 18, Neves added
